Steel doesn't ignite. Ever.
Cold-formed steel is classified as a non-combustible material under building codes. Wood can begin to ignite around 500°F — steel doesn't melt until roughly 2,700°F, and it contributes zero fuel to a fire at any temperature. In wildfire country, your framing shouldn't be firewood.
Bottom line: a steel frame can't add fuel to a fire. In southern Utah's wildland-urban interface, that's not a spec-sheet detail — it's the whole point.

Pound for pound, steel is among the strongest building materials available. Our framing is galvanized — coated in zinc that protects the steel from corrosion. Rust needs sustained moisture, which is exactly what a properly built envelope prevents — and unlike wood, steel gives mold nothing to grow on even if a leak occurs.
